A large police presence is currently in place in a Swindon suburb.
Police and paramedics were spotted rushing to the Liden area of the Wiltshire town last night, with officers still at the scene almost 24 hours later.
Forensic investigators have been seen around Cromer Court, with one witness saying there was a significant presence in the area at the time of the incident.
Witnesses have reported a suspected stabbing, but this has not been confirmed by police.
“Around 9pm there was at least one ambulance and a police car and I heard the sirens,” said a resident who asked to remain anonymous.
“I left to start work the following day just after 8am and I saw police everywhere.
“When I got back from work I noticed that there were three vehicles in total with two police cars and one forensics vans.
“Something very serious has happened because of the presence of the ambulances and forensics."
All three of these emergency vehicles are still parked outside the blocks of flats as investigations at the suspected crime scene continue, they added.
Wiltshire Police has been approached for comment.
