A shopper has captured the moment two men appear to steal a motorbike from a supermarket car park in broad daylight.

A Swindon woman, her children and her mother were doing some Easter Bank Holiday shopping at the Orbital shopping centre in North Swindon at 12.50pm on Friday when they noticed two people acting suspiciously.

It appeared that the men were in the process of stealing a bike that had been parked in the car park

The woman said she then started taking pictures of the two men and told them to stop and they then became threatening towards her.

"I saw tools and questioned him, he rushed up to me with his hand in his bag clearly displaying an open threat," she said.

"My mother backed me up and they moved back and continued with the theft."

The shocked shopper then alerted everyone she could while continuing to take photographs of the suspected crime before the suspects sped off.

The police were called and have taken statements, but praised the woman for her actions.

Wiltshire Police have been contacted for a statement and to confirm if an investigation has been launched into the incident.
