Windows have been covered over and branding removed from a shop in Swindon as a business moves out of the town centre.
Card shop Clintons has been based at 5 Regent Street for several years but it announced at the end of last month that the store would close.
Staff at Clintons Cards on Regent Street shut the doors for the final time at 4pm on Sunday, March 19, and revealed to customers that it would not be opening again.
A member of staff said to one customer: "We're closing for good, the rent on the store has risen too high."
Only the red paint finish remains as a reminder of what had been there for so many years.
Branding and logos have been removed and the windows have been boarded up with white paper as the shop now stands vacant on the busy town centre street.
But it is believed that the national greetings card brand is looking to return to the Swindon shopping area.
Staff mentioned to one customer that they hoped to return to a different unit later in the year.
