A popular Swindon pub has donated 152 Easter eggs to sick children at Great Western Hospital.
The Sun Inn on Marlborough Road took donations of various chocolate eggs from locals to ensure that children in hospital had something to cheer about this Easter.
Mona Healey of Old Town donated a large amount of the eggs alongside local scooter club, Swindon In Crowd.
“We donated £50 worth of the eggs with the scooter group and I wanted to do it as my son works at the pub and it is my local,” she said.
“It is a great cause at Easter as there’s a lot of sick children but this can put a smile back on their faces.”
The haul included eggs of various brands as well as several chocolate bunny rabbits and cuddly chick toys.
A spokesperson for the pub said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that donated an egg for all the children in the hospital.
“We had a total of 152 eggs all together! This is so amazing, thank you so much to each and every one of you.”
