A Wiltshire park was cordoned off on the Easter Sunday morning following a report of serious sexual assault.
Monkton Park in Chippenham could be seen covered in police tape on Sunday morning as detectives were present at the crime scene.
The incident occurred in the park area of Chippenham in the early hours of this morning with police suggesting the timeline was between 2.30am and 3.15am.
Alongside Monkton Park, both Chippenham High Street and the council offices near the park are mentioned in the appeal for more information or witnesses.
The police cordon which was put in place at the scene has since been lifted.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Monkton Park area, specifically between Chippenham High Street and near to the council offices in the park between 2.30am and 3.15am should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54230037299.”
