A woman has been attacked in the car park of a Wiltshire village hall.
Police were called to a 'social function' at the Collingbourne Kingston village hall which was taking place between the evening of April 1 and into the early hours of April 2.
The victim, a woman in her 30s, was in the car park when she was attacked by a man who was known to her sometime between 11pm and midnight.
Wiltshire Police believes several people would have witnessed this and it is now encouraging those people to come forward and share what they saw.
A spokesperson for the force said: "It is believed the incident was witnessed by a number of guests attending the event who we would be keen to speak to as part of our investigation.
"If this was you, or you have information which could assist, please get in touch."
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the assault and released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
The spokesperson added: "Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54230034452.
