A man in his 50s has died after being found by police in a Swindon block of flats.
Police cars and a forensics van were parked close to Cromer Court in Liden on the evening of Wednesday, April 5 and the Wiltshire force has now issued an update eight days on.
They say the man's death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson told the Adver: “We responded to a welfare concern for a resident of Cromer Court in Liden, Swindon on April 5.
“The occupant, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital where he later sadly died despite the best efforts of medical staff.
“We are not treating his death as suspicious.
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends and we ask that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.”
Police vehicles stayed at the area throughout the following day (April 6), with the forensics van leaving until after 11pm.
“I left to start work the following day just after 8am and I saw police everywhere," recalled an neighbour who asked to remain anonymous.
“When I got back from work I noticed that there were three vehicles in total with two police cars and one forensics vans.”
