THE cars and the fashions have changed but there's a timeless quality about these Adver archive pictures of Royal Wootton Bassett's high street.
Spanning three decades, they show everyday life.
But the clues are there, in the road that is empty of traffic and the windows of the shops.
Spot the advert for Green Shield Stamps in the window of one of the Apsley House arcade stores, or the kerbside filling station.
The town, which was given a Royal prefix in 2011 in recognition of its part in the repatriation of 345 fallen service men and women through nearby RAF Lyneham, is lucky in that it still has what many people view as a traditional high street, even with the challenges of online shopping.
