A crash between a police car and a member of the public's car that left three people injured has been referred to the police watchdog.
The crash occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning (April 8) at Chelworth Industrial Estate, Cricklade.
At the time, it was confirmed that three people had been taken to the hospital, a man in his 50s who was driving one vehicle, and two police officers who were in the other.
In an update provided days after the incident took place, Wiltshire Police confirmed it has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
The force also confirmed that, as of Wednesday, April 12, the member of the public who was hurt, a man in his 50s, remained in critical care in hospital.
But the two officers had been discharged from hospital and were recovering from their injuries.
Details on how or why the crash occurred have not yet been revealed, but police have confirmed that no arrests have yet been made.
A police spokesperson said they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
"Enquiries are ongoing in relation to this investigation," they said.
"Any Witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dash cam are asked to contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597 quoting Log number 063.
"Alternatively, they can contact the team directly - SCIT@wiltshire.police.uk."
