PHARMACIES in Swindon are now offering medicine for five common health prescriptions in a bid to free up GP appointments in the town.
The conditions covered by this new initiative are sore throats, female urine infections, impetigo and dermatitis (both of which are common skin infections), and conjunctivitis.
Medicine for these conditions was typically only available after speaking to a GP, but now can be acquired after speaking to a local pharmacist.
For help with symptoms of these conditions, visit one of the pharmacies listed and ask to speak to the pharmacist.
