A Wiltshire man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that Robert Frasonski, 24, of Summerleaze, Trowbridge, has been arrested for the knife attack that sparked a heavy police presence on Sunday, April 16.
Police were called to a home on Manor Road at 6am after a man in his 40s suffered life-threatening injuries.
The victim was taken to Bristol's Southmead Hospital, where he currently remains and is still receiving treatment.
The suspect was taken to Royal United Hospital in Bath for treatment of his own injuries, thought not to be serious, and was then taken into custody.
Frasonski has now been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning.
The full statement from a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "We have charged a man with attempted murder following a stabbing in Trowbridge on Sunday morning.
Robert Frasonski, 24, of Summerleaze, Trowbridge, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court.
"The charge follows an incident at around 5.55am on Sunday inside a property in Manor Road, where a man in his 40s suffered serious injuries.
"He remains in hospital for treatment."
