A van full of kebab meat stopped by police on the M4 was found to be a third over its permitted weight.
The white Mercedes van was stopped at 1.30pm on Monday, April 17, near Junction 15 of the M4.
Police officers investigated the kebab van and realised that the legal weight restriction had been breached.
The overloaded van driver was issued with a Fixed Penalty Ticket for overloaded gross vehicle weight and the vehicle was prohibited from moving pending the weight being removed.
A Tweet from Wiltshire Police’s Specialist Operations Team said: “RPU have this van stopped on the M4.
“Found to be 33% overloaded. Apologies to the kebab connoisseurs of Swindon but you’ll be short a meat wheel or two this evening.”
