Police have scoured the bushes of a Swindon park for discarded knives in a Swindon park this week.
Officers carried out foot patrols around the Grange Park area of Swindon on Wednesday afternoon to meet members of the public and provide a visible policing presence.
As part of their patrol, PCs Kolasinski and Radley made use of metal detectors to search hedgerows and shrubs to ensure that no discarded knives or other objects were hidden there.
This comes after a spate of knife crime in the Wiltshire town in recent months which includes the death of 18-year-old Owen Dunn in early December 2022.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “If you see our officers out and about, please feel to approach them with any concerns or questions.”
