Two women remain in jail following reports of a couple engaging in public ‘sex acts’ outside one of Swindon town centre’s supermarkets.
The incident occurred at around 4pm on Thursday outside the Iceland store by Havelock Square.
A Wiltshire Police Spokesperson said: “We have arrested two women on suspicion of indecent exposure following an incident in Havelock Square in Swindon at about 4pm yesterday, April, 20.
“One of the women was also arrested on suspicion of theft.
“They are both currently in police custody.”
After witnessing what was happening, the Iceland shop manager, who wished to remain anonymous, called the police to attend.
“My delivery drivers were loading up the vans and saw two females on the floor undressing each other with their hands down each other’s pants,” he said.
“Me and my team were disgusted by it. Why would people do that in public on a sunny afternoon like today.
"People walking past were making comments and one man was with his two young children and was disgusted.”
He added that one of the women on the pavement had her top above her chest in full view of passing members of the public.
