A crime scene is in place in Penhill street after a person was airlifted to hospital.
Police responded to an incident in Odstock Road just after midnight on Monday morning and an area of houses in the middle of the street has been cordoned off since then.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance has confirmed that one patient was airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital, and some neighbours have reported hearing loud bangs around the same time, but as of yet, police have not confirmed what has happened and who might have been injured.
As of 10am on Monday, April 24, there was a large police cordon blocking off several houses from number 13 Odstock Road to number 27.
A police forensic van and two police cars were parked there. Two officers guarded the scene while a forensic officer laid out yellow evidence markers in the garden of one of the properties and periodically photographed what they saw.
Later, the same forensic officer retrieved an extendable ladder and climbed it to photograph and document the top of the porch and the protruding downstairs window structure.
Wiltshire Police have been approached for more information
