Spring has sprung in Swindon!
With flowers in full blossom, members of the Adver's Camera Club have been out and about snapping the signs of spring.
In conjunction with the new season has come the Swindon Blossom Festival - currently underway until Bank Holiday Monday.
The Blossom Festival, hosted by the South Swindon Parish Council, and supported by the National Trust, Historic England, the Town Gardens Café and Swindon Borough Council, is celebrating the completion of the Blossom Circle at GWR Park and as part of the National Trust’s Helping Communities Blossom programme.
This weekend, the festival is hosting a concert along with a variety of workshops and activities for local residents.
The Blossom Music concert will take place on Saturday, April 29 from 8.30am-3pm where Swindon Young Musicians will play their rehearsals in the newly formed Blossom Circle, showcasing the young talent that Swindon has to offer. This will be followed by the St Mark’s Church Choir who will be performing between 1.50 and 2.30pm.
There will also be free nature-based workshops, free heritage tours of the park, and historical displays from the Railway Museum.
This will be followed by further children's art workshops on Sunday and a barbecue.
