WEST SWINDON: An application has been made to the Licensing Authority for Swindon for the grant of a premises licence by Vibish Brewing Ltd in respect of Unit 95, Basepoint Business Park.

The application seeks permission for the retail sale of alcohol for consumption on or off-premises between 12pm and 11pm daily, along with the playing of recorded and live music.

The full application may be inspected at the Offices of the Licensing Authority, Swindon Borough Council, Wat Tyler West Floor 5, Beckhampton Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Responsible authorities, and/or other persons (e.g. people/businesses living or working within the vicinity), can make representations at any time until May 11, 2023.

It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application, for which a person is liable on summary conviction for an unlimited fine.

OLD TOWN: An application has been made to the Licensing Authority for Swindon by Fandangos Productions LTD to vary the premises licence issued in respect of the Town Gardens.

The application seeks variations to allow the sale of still wine in measures of 175ml, allow audible music beyond the site boundary until 10.30pm rather than 8pm, and remove the condition related to Covid-19. 

The full application may be inspected at Civic Offices, Euclid Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

TOWN CENTRE: Swindon Borough Council has made a new traffic order (reference ST/TRO/Temple Street) to revoke the 'no waiting at any time' restriction on Temple Street and will replace it with a taxi rank where stopping is prohibited 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The local authority intends to appoint a hackney carriage stand in accordance with Section 63 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 on public highway on Temple Street,

A second order (reference ST/TRO/Kimmerfields) will introduce a 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction on Carfax Street, Carfax Close, Turl Street, and Merton Street.
