A Swindon town centre store that has sat empty for years is now showing signs of life.
Lingerie chain Ann Summers in Regent Street closed its doors for good in June 2020 after announcing it was not renewing its lease.
Since then, the brandless pink shopfront and empty store behind it have been a permanent fixture of the retail offerings in the town's main shopping district.
But recently, members of the public have spotted construction workers working within the store.
It started a few weeks ago with workers putting up scaffolding inside, and then progressed a couple of weeks later with plastic sheeting being taped onto the windows.
While this could be a sign that a new store or business is coming to the town centre in the future, it is currently not known what store or business might be as no signage has been put up anywhere yet.
No planning applications have been filed for a change of use with the building's address either, which would suggest that it will remain a retail offering of some kind.
