Residents living in a Swindon suburb were forced to evacuate their homes on Wednesday evening after police found a suspicious substance in a shed.
Police officers, firefighters and ambulance crews descended on Badbury Park at around 4.45pm after reports that potentially hazardous chemicals were discovered.
They cordoned off an area around Homington Avenue whilst investigations into the dangerous materials were conducted.
Residents living on Clitchbury Close were forced to temporarily leave their homes whilst the bomb squad investigated the substance.
The area was declared safe by the explosive ordnance disposal team a few hours later and the cordon was lifted at around 6.45pm.
