A teenager has pleaded guilty to drugs offences after police raided a property containing £1,800 worth of crack cocaine and heroin.

Police raided the address in Swindon town centre on Thursday, May 4, after reports it had “been taken over by drug dealers.”

18-year-old Roland Dickinson, of Scott Lidgett Crescent in London, was found at the property along with Class A drugs and cash.

He was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.

Officers from the Fortitude team also recovered £1,000 in cash, as well as £1,800 of crack cocaine and heroin, from the “cuckooed” property.

Dickinson pleaded guilty to the charges during a hearing at Swindon Magistrates Court on Tuesday, May 9.

He has now been bailed and is due to be sentenced on July 7.

T/DS Gareth Snoad said: “This case shows how valuable intelligence provided by the community is and how vital the role is that the community plays in helping us tackle illegal drugs in Swindon.

“I’m pleased we were able to safeguard a vulnerable member of the community and that Dickinson has pleaded guilty to the offences.”
