After receiving 197 nominations from readers who think their pet is the best in town, we have whittled down the entries to a shortlist of 10.
Cut out the coupon in today's paper and tick your preferred winner, then send it to our offices through the post by May 21.
The owners of each finalist have the chance to promote their pooch in the paper before we reveal the best in the week commencing May 22.
Francesca Sutton's nine-month-old Labrador-Springer Spaniel cross Macey has become a much-loved member of the family in Purton.
Francesca said: "She's already grown a lot bigger than when I took the photo!
"Macey is brilliant for easing anxiety. I have a lot of panic attacks and so have taught her how to calm me down - she lies across my chest until the panic attack stops.
"She is best friends with my one-and-a-half-year-old daughter - their videos went viral on TikTok. Macey is always on the run, following her around and playing.
"I feel completely safe with her, she's an absolute angel and a bit like a babysitter.
"She loves playing and chewing on things.
"I didn't know what sort of dog I wanted to get but fell in love with Macey straight away as soon as I saw her, she has come at just the right time when we needed her.
"Labradors are such nice family dogs."
Sam Giles from Royal Wootton Bassett sang the praises of her Wired Hungarian Vizsla, Flora, who has been a constant companion and assistance dog for her son Devon.
Sam said: "She has excelled herself. I never had to teach her anything about Devon's needs, she just knew.
"They are inseparable, she's like a Velcro dog, she's always there when you need her, and she provides pressure therapy by lying on Devon when he's stressed.
"She is so loving, caring, gentle, and friendly, everyone loves her.
"We wanted my son to be able to do activities with her, so we picked a working breed. We travelled for four hours to pick her up and it was absolutely worth it, I'd do it all again.
"She's a terrible snorer and takes up the whole bed by spreading across it, but I would not change anything.
"Flora has completed our family, we would be lost without her and I can't imagine life without her."
