A robbery victim has been “left shaken” after he was chased by three masked men riding electric bikes in Swindon.
A young man was walking from Penhill into Abbey Meads, via the bridge near Bergman Close, just before midnight on Friday, May 12, when he was pursued by three men.
The suspects reportedly rode electric bikes and were wearing dark clothes and balaclavas.
They forced the young man to hand over his rucksack, although they then dropped it as they sped away along Gable Close.
The victim was physically unharmed but was “left shaken” by the experience.
Investigating officers launched an appeal urging any witnesses or those with CCTV footage of the area to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Abbey Meads, North Swindon.
“We would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who has information which could help identify the offenders.
“If you live in the area, we would be most grateful if you could review your CCTV and Ring doorbells from 11.30pm to 12.10am and see if you have any footage which could help with evidence.
“If you do, please call 101 quoting ref 54230050006 or email mitchell.dodson@wiltshire.police.uk.”
