A dentist in Swindon has made a name for himself in the town after serving the likes of television stars as well as a Premier League footballer.
Doctor Ali Al Hassan was born in East London but was raised in Swindon where he has stayed and practised as a cosmetic dentist.
In his five years of working in the town, the 29-year-old has amassed several famous clients including several stars of ITV’s phenomenon Love Island.
Traction has grown for Ali’s work via word of mouth as well as his Instagram account which has as many as 16,000 followers.
The latest famous face to grace the Clyde House surgery was West Ham United’s Argentinian midfielder Manuel Lanzini.
“Lanzini messaged me to get his teeth done and he was really happy with the results as he is getting married in Argentina this summer and wanted nice teeth for his wedding,” said Ali.
“He had training on the Tuesday so he couldn’t come in until 5pm and we finished at 11.30pm so I did nothing and then started late at night.”
The midfielder signed two separate shirts for the dentist and the pair enjoyed their evening together chatting about the beautiful game as Ali worked.
“He was an absolute top bloke and I was nervous before meeting him but he was so nice and passionate about football,” he said.
“You think someone who lives and breathes it wouldn’t want to talk about football but he spoke so much about it and we had Man City against Real Madrid in the back.”
The dentist has also served reality television stars as well during his career and he sees the sky as the limit regarding possible future clients.
“I have had a few Love Island stars Lacey Edwards and Omar Sultani in the past such as (she has already had her teeth done before,” said Ali.
“I thought it was cool that we had a Premier League footballer come all the way to Swindon to get his teeth done. I want Haaland in next.”
Ali has won several accolades so far including Best Young Dentist 2021 but patient’s reactions are what makes the job worthwhile to him.
“We use composite bonding to his teeth meaning we took white composite material and moulding it over the existing teeth without damaging them,” he explained.
“I really enjoy it as I have always liked the cosmetic side of dentistry and I like to see people get their confidence back after I’ve done my work.”
