A Swindon restaurant has a new 'intimate' look after it was given a brand new makeover.

Pizza Express has been operating across the United Kingdom since 1965 with one of its homes in the town being located at the Swindon Designer Outlet.

The Outlet’s restaurant has been recently renovated, increasing the capacity of the pizza hotspot as well as giving the location a cosmetic makeover.

General manager Hillary Colledge said: “We took out all the middle booths and it has all been repainted.

“We also have a new delivery area which is separate to the restaurant.

“Before it looked a lot starker as everything was white like a canteen but now that lighting and paint has changed it’s a little more intimate in the evening.”

The capacity has not only increased within the restaurant but also in its outside seating area with the number of people it is able to accommodate al fresco going from 14 to 40.

“We’ve been reopen about three weeks now and customers are loving it with great feedback and reviews,” said Hillary.

The Pizza Express located inside the Outlet is one of two in Swindon with its other restaurant being found in Old Town on Bath Road.
