A teenage suspect in the murder of Owen Dunn case has seen the charges against him dropped.
It follows a hearing at Bristol Crown Court on Friday (May 19), whereby the case against the 15-year-old was discontinued.
He had previously been charged with the murder of 18-year-old Owen Dunn, who died after being stabbed in Mazurek Way, Swindon on December 4 last year.
Owen left his home in Penhill and travelled to Haydon End to visit his girlfriend, but before he could get there he was approached and stabbed in a broad daylight attack at around 1.30pm.
The victim died at the scene as police cordoned off the area to investigate.
The released 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had originally been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Two other teenage boys, aged 15 and 17, were also arrested in the months following.
Both are due to appear before Bristol Crown Court for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing on Friday, July 7.
