Police have issued an update on an attack by a VW driver that left a 16-year-old with a cut face.
The reported assault on the teenage victim took place in Bristol Road, Chippenham, at around 10.10pm on Thursday, April 20.
As the boy was walking home from the gym and as he passed the National Probation Service offices and moved onto Marshfield Road, a dark blue K reg Volkswagen Golf stopped beside him.
The driver, who is described as mixed-race, exited the vehicle and assaulted the teenager, who sustained cuts and scrapes to his arms and face in the attack.
He then got back in his car and drove off, heading west along Marshfield Road.
A driver of a white Mercedes stopped at the scene to help the injured boy.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We would particularly like to hear from the driver of the white Mercedes.
“If you can help, please contact us on 101 quoting log 54230041762.”
