A brand new shop has opened in Swindon’s town centre which provides postage and packaging services.
Post and Packing opened on Havelock Street at the site of a former RSPCA charity shop on Monday, May 8.
Business owner Darren Moore of Shrivenham is in charge of the new shop, which is the company’s 16th in the UK.
“The first three weeks have been good as we are meeting a lot of people and local business owners so it is picking up the place,” said Darren.
“In a nutshell we are a modern version of the traditional post office so we sell all types of packaging and we offer a mailing service if people want to ship parcels.”
“We offer the customer more choice of how to send their parcels, including business customers who may send 100 parcels a week and can be offered a more competitive solution.”
The 52-year-old has lived in Swindon for seven years and is no newcomer to the postage business.
“I am already in the courier business with Dash Couriers so this is a nice little add-on with me running the new store as other managers run Dash,” said Darren.
“I want to build up a customer base and a good local reputation for the new shop.”
