Running on empty? Well, we’ve searched around Swindon to find the cheapest prices at the petrol pumps.

The Breeze forecourt near the mini-roundabout on Newport Street in Old Town was still selling unleaded petrol for 139.9p per litre.

The West Swindon Asda is fairly wallet-friendly, with petrol at 140.7p per litre, the Applegreen near North Star on Great Western Way is just 140.8p per litre of petrol, and the Bridgemead Sainsburys is just a tad more at 140.9p per litre.

The Sainsburys on Oxford Road is offering petrol for 141.9p per litre.

The BP forecourt on Bridge End Road is selling unleaded for 142.7p per litre.

The Ocotal Way Tesco Extra is slightly more expensive at 142.9p per litre of petrol.

Prices at the Shell petrol stations on Shrivenham Road and Marlborough Road are 143.9p and 144.9p per litre respectively.

The Queens Drive BP and Fleming Way Esso garages are also offering petrol for 144.9p per litre, while the Marlborough Road BP, Coate BP, and Dorcan Way Esso stations are each 1p more expensive per litre.

The most expensive petrol pumps in the area can be found at the BP in Blagrove, off Great Western Way,  which serves fuel at 147.9p per litre.
