Police have been clamping down on reckless drivers across Wiltshire this week.
Several drivers were halted for a variety of offences throughout Monday including multiple counts of speeding.
At speeds of over 100mph, Wiltshire’s officers were extremely busy as well as dealing with other offences including using a mobile phone while driving.
Here is a round-up of every update from Wiltshire Specialist Operations Team’s Twitter account.
Speeding in the sunshine
One driver was caught gunning down the M4 in the warm weather on Monday afternoon at a speed of 95mph.
The Tweet said: “RPU conducting speed enforcement on the M4 today. Needless to say this will be a trip to court. #SunsOutGunsOut”
Over 100mph
Another driver went even further while breaking the law while on the A303, surpassing the 100mph mark on Monday afternoon.
The tweet said: “RPU on the A303 stopped a BMW travelling at excess speed, the driver apparently didn't realise how fast they were going.”
Van texter
As well as speeding, Wiltshire Police have also been policing other road offences such as using a mobile phone while driving.
This van driver was caught texting at the wheel.
The tweet said: “The driver of this van was more interested in his text conversation than the marked police vehicle passing him on then M4 today. TOR issued.”
