A 15-year-old has been remanded into the care of Swindon Borough Council after appearing in court charged with attempted murder.
The suspect, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested and charged following a stabbing which left a 17-year-old boy fighting for his life.
He appeared in court on Saturday, June 10, and was further remanded.
Due to his age, he has been remanded into the care of the local authority, Swindon Borough Council.
The incident took place at Meadowcroft Fields, in Upper Stratton, shortly after 8pm on Thursday, June 8.
Police say a disorder took place, and the victim was rushed to Southmead Hospital in Bristol by air ambulance with injuries that were described as “life-threatening” at the time.
He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police are continuing to investigate the violent incident and have urged any witnesses, or anyone with information, to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We continue to appeal for witnesses or information from the local community in relation to this incident.
