Police are on the hunt for a dog and its owner after a woman was bitten in the face and rushed to get medical aid.
She was on Queen Elizabeth Drive at around 9.50am on Monday, June 5 when the dog attacked her face, leaving cuts and bruises.
The dog, described as a black and white Border Collie, was on a lead with its owner at the time but the owner left without helping the victim.
Described as a woman aged in her early 50s, the owner is of slim build, approximately 5ft 5ins tall, with brown shoulder-length hair and a wispy fringe.
A witness, described as a white man aged in his mid-40s, took the victim to the nearby medical centre but she was unable to get any details of her saviour.
The police are now investigating the incident and are appealing for information from the public.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “If you can help, please get in touch by calling 101 and quote crime reference number 54230058566.”
