A large patch of Swindon has been left without electricity following a major power cut today.
The Brimble Hill area of Wroughton has had no power since 10.57am on Tuesday morning after an unexpected power cut occurred.
Around 12 houses are affected by the outage consisting of an estimated 105 customers.
A tweet from SSEN said: “We’re sorry for the power cut affecting Swindon, Wroughton and the surrounding areas.
“Engineers are en-route and expect to have the power back on by 14:00.”
This was later amended with a second tweet after the engineers failed to solve the problem in the allotted time.
The later SSEN tweet said: “Our engineers are still on site making emergency repairs to our network and now aim to have remaining supplies restored by 17:00.
“Apologies for the interruption and thank you for your patience.”
