A trio of Swindon residents have won £3,000 with the Postcode Lottery.

The three neighbours all reside on Devizes Road with the SN4 0RZ postcode, each receiving their equal share of the prize money, working out as £1,000.

This is not the first time Swindon has been home to winners through the Postcode Lottery though.

In September last year three people in the Walcot postcode SN3 3HA received cheques worth £30,000 each.

X Factor star and street prize presenter Danyl Johnson handed out the golden envelopes and had a quick chat with the winners.

The newest winners were chuffed to receive their cheques but wished to remain anonymous.

Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: “What great news for our lucky players in SN4 0RZ. I hope they can treat themselves to something special with their prize, congratulations!”

The lottery costs £12 a month to play and a minimum of 33 per cent from each ticket goes to charity.
