Thames Water has apologised to people living on County Road after a water main burst and flooded the street.
Engineers from the utility company are continuing to repair one of the main routes to the town centre following the sudden submergence on June 18.
Its claims team is assisting residents and businesses who may have been affected by the flooding.
An 18-inch cast iron main pipe caused significant amount of damage to the road's surface, so the area has been closed off until it is safe to travel along again.
Four different roads were affected and closed off to traffic, including County Road, Gambia Street, Rosebery Street and Elmina Road.
Surface water was also present on Manchester Road up to the junction with Graham Street.
Elmina Road was later reopened to traffic.
A Thames Water spokesperson said: “Our engineers continue to carry out an urgent repair to a burst water main on County Road in Swindon and we expect to re-open the road by July 10.
“Water is being rerouted to keep taps flowing for our customers whilst we carry out this repair.
"We are sorry to residents and businesses who have been impacted by the burst.”
