A major Wiltshire road near Stonehenge has been closed indefinitely following a “serious” crash.
The A303 is currently closed between the Countess roundabout and the A360 Longbarrow roundabout following a collision on Saturday evening.
Wiltshire Police are currently leading the response to the incident while the section of road is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Please be aware that the A303 between the Countess roundabout and the A360 Longbarrow roundabout is currently closed in both directions following a serious road traffic collision.
"The road is likely to be closed for the foreseeable future. Please find alternate routes."
The Adver has contacted Wiltshire Police as well as Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service for more information.
