Shoppers have been left frustrated after a Swindon supermarket was left without carrier bags for days.
And residents using the Orbital branch of Asda will have to cope with similar disruption in the next few days.
A supply issue meant that the supermarket has been without plastic bags for customers to buy since last week.
Emma Williams, from North Swindon, was shopping at the store on Friday, July 7, when she was told there were no bags available.
“It was an inconvenience unloading it back at home especially as I wasn't offered anything by the staff,” said the 39-year-old.
“I was on my own and had a trolley to the car and then had to bring the bags to the car at home and put them in the bags to transport into the house.”
An Asda spokesperson said on Wednesday: “We are aware that there has been a shortage of bags at our Swindon Haydon store over the past couple of days, which we are now rectifying.
“A delivery of bags is expected in the next 48 hours, and we would encourage customers to continue bringing their own bags for life when shopping.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
