A yellow weather warning has been issued for Wiltshire and Gloucestershire as the Royal International Air Tattoo 2023 begins.

Thousands are flocking to RAF Fairford this weekend for the aviation spectacular, which started on Friday and continues until Sunday.

Yet the wet conditions have already seen key displays cancelled and there are fears the weekend schedule will be disrupted.

The Met Office has a yellow weather warning in place for wind on Saturday, with rain throughout the day and thunder forecast for around 2pm.

According to the BBC weather forecast, the area is to see a continuation of the wet conditions with thunder to add to the problems.

RIAT organisers are yet to comment as to whether the event will carry on as normal throughout the weekend.
