Light rain is forecast for the finale of this year’s Royal International Air Show after wind and rain disrupted the first two days.
The Friday and Saturday of RIAT 2023 were hit by poor weather, with displays cancelled on both days due to stormy conditions.
On Saturday, the day’s “star attraction”, the historic Me-262 aircraft, was forced to remain grounded as a downpour broke out at around 1pm.
But ticket holders look set for a less disrupted final day at RAF Fairford, with only light showers and a moderate breeze forecast for Sunday, July 16.
Temperatures are currently predicted to remain warm throughout the way, ranging from 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.
Earlier in the week, RIAT organisers urged visitors travelling to the airfield to come prepared with warm and waterproof clothing, as well as suitable footwear.
A full hour by hour forecast for Fairford during the event can be found below.
11am - 1pm – Light rain showers and a moderate breeze.
1pm - 2pm – Sunny intervals and a moderate breeze.
2pm - 8pm – Light rain showers and a moderate breeze.
