Road works will be carried out all over Swindon throughout the rest of the summer.
New traffic orders issued by Swindon Borough Council show that several streets will be temporarily closed to traffic over the next few weeks.
Groundwell Road will be shut for resurfacing between the junctions with Lincoln Street and Westmorland Road on July 28.
Traffic is to be diverted via Princes Street, Fleming Way, Magic Roundabout, Drove Road, Cricklade Street, High Street, Newport Street, Devizes Road, Victoria Road and vice versa.
Similar work will shut Lady Lane between the junctions with Salzgitter Drive and B419 on July 26 and 27. Traffic is to be diverted via Salzgitter Drive and Thamesdown Drive.
Corporation Street will be closed between the junctions with Station Road and Cockleberry Roundabout so that Network Rail can carry out a bridge inspection from 9pm on August 13 to 5am on August 14.
Traffic is to be diverted via Great Western Way to Transfer Bridges, County Road, Manchester Road, Aylesbury Street, Station Road.
After that, work for the Whalebridge Junction Improvement Scheme and Kimmerfields development and will impose a restriction on driving on Corporation Street between Fleming Way and Manchester Road from August 14 to November 30.
Work on the Bewley Homes development will impose a restriction on driving on Ham Road in Wanborough at the junction with Church Road from August 7 to 21.
Thames Water is carrying out work on Goddard Avenue between the junction with Bath Road to property No 155 Goddard Avenue from 8am to 5pm on August 14.
Traffic is to be diverted via Westlecot Road, Springfield Road, Devizes Road, Bath Road and vice versa.
More Thames Water work will close Hinton Parva Lane at City Corner outside West Hinton Cottage from August 16 to 18. Traffic is to be diverted via City Corner, Body Horse Hill and vice versa.
Grove Hill in Highworth will be closed to traffic outside No 19 between Westrop and Brookfield so that Thames Water can carry out work from August 21 to 23.
Traffic is to be diverted via Lechlade Road, Westrop, St Michaels Avenue and vice versa.
A 30mph speed limit will be in force from August 14 to 18 on Barbury Castle Road in Wroughton, as indicated by signs at Beranburh Fields.
Gas main replacement work will close William Street between numbers 1 to 80 from August 21 to September 29. Access for residents is to be maintained.
Fibre network installation will restrict traffic on Evelyn Street between Marlborough Road and Marlborough Lane (under the bridge) from August 21 to 25.
Traffic is to be diverted via Marlborough Road to the roundabout, Marlborough Lane and vice versa.
Thames Water work will close Devizes Road Road at the junction with Lethbridge Road/Newport Street from August 29 to September 1.
Traffic is to be diverted via Devizes Road, Croft Road, Pipers Way, Marlborough Road and Newport Street.
Work on a building on Hunts Hill in Blunsdon will close the route between High Street and Chapel Hill from August 14 to 17.
Traffic is to be diverted via High Street, Ermin Street, Blunsdon Hill, Front Lane and vice versa.
Thames Water work will close Gooch Street to carry out work between the junctions of Station Road and Gladstone Street from August 8 to 11.
Traffic is to be diverted via Station Road, Aylesbury Street, Manchester Road, Gladstone Street and vice versa.
Openreach works will close Highworth Road in South Marston after the junction with Greenfields and Quarrybrook Close from August 21 to 23.
Traffic is to be diverted via Thornhill Road, A420, White Hart Junction, Ermin Street, Swindon Road, Hobley Drive, B4006, Highworth Road, Rat Trap Roundabout, A361 Highworth Road, Supermarine Roundabout, Supermarine Road and vice versa.
