What a stroke of cluck!
Roads policing unit officers responded to a report of a vehicle acting suspiciously around farms near Wroughton on Friday night.
Police found the 4x4 and stopped it after the driver tried to evade officers but went straight into a dead-end road.
The motorist had no valid licence or insurance - and when police checked the boot of the 4x4, they found it to be full of chickens.
Police detained the driver - and the chickens - and seized the vehicle.
