The 13-year-old boy suffered knife wounds on the cycle path at Shaw Forest Park on Monday, July 24.
A 16-year-old also suffered injuries to his face.
Both victims were treated in hospital and have since been discharged.
Three teenagers have since been arrested by the police with all of these suspects released on bail pending further police enquiries.
Officers could be seen patrolling the area this week.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Extra high visibility patrols are being made in Shaw Forest Park, Swindon following the recent stabbing on a cycle path.
“PC Koca and PC Allsopp spoke to dog walkers and other people who were in the area to offer reassurance.”
