The location of a new gym owned and run by sports-fashion retail company JD Sports coming to Swindon has been revealed.
JD Sports announced in November 2022 that one of its JD Gyms would be moving to the town in the future, promising a “state-of-the-art” facility.
The chain has now revealed that the new gym is due to open this winter and will cover 24,000 square feet.
It was a mystery as to where the business would call home in Swindon, but JD Sports have announced that it will open next to the B&M store on Ocotal Way.
Featuring hundreds of pieces of cardio, strength and functional fitness equipment, the gym will also offer a large free weights zone, boxing area and a sled track.
Classes will be held throughout each month at a fitness studio which are included in the monthly membership price and the gym will have free onsite parking.
Managing director of JD Gyms, Alun Peacock, said: “Swindon is a fantastic location for us, and we're excited to expand the JD Gyms brand into Wiltshire for the first time.
“We’re incredibly proud to be creating such a high standard of fitness facility for the people of Swindon.”
Town gym-goers can now reserve a first month £5 discounted place online here.
