TRAVELLERS have pitched up camp at Salisbury's London Road Park and Ride car park.
The Journal was made aware of the encampment on Monday, August 7.
A number of caravans and mobile homes were spotted in the car park.
Cllr Caroline Thomas, Cabinet Member for Transport, said:
"We are aware of an unauthorised encampment at London Road Park and Ride in Salisbury and our enforcement officers will visit the site in line with the required procedures."
The Journal contacted Salisbury Reds, who operate bus services at the Park and Ride, for a comment.
David Newton, operations manager, said:
"We are aware of travellers at the London Road park & ride site.
"At present our services are unaffected, and we are in direct communication with Wiltshire Council - which owns and maintains the site - to resolve this issue."
Wiltshire Police have also been contacted for a comment.
