A global chicken shop brand appears to be heading to Swindon after a job advert was posted online for a store in the town.

Slim Chickens is a fast food restaurant which was founded in 2003 in Arkansas, USA before moving over to the UK in 2018.

It is now suggested that the brand will open its newest branch in Swindon after a job advert for a general manager was posted on social media platform LinkedIn.

The advert now states that the company are no longer taking applications and reveals nothing about the location other than the town’s name.

Slim Chickens is managed by Boporan, the firm which also manages the restaurant chain Giraffe.

Giraffe's Swindon Designer Outlet restaurant is set to close at the end of this month.

The eatery occupies a fairly sizeable space in the busy retail destination, with seats and tables spilling out of the main unit.

Next month, both redecoration and refitting work will commence in preparation for a new restaurant to take over.

It is expected that the new Slim Chickens will open in the location of Giraffe after the latter departs.

The Adver has approached Slim Chickens for comment.
