Groups of travellers have pitched up at multiple sites across Swindon in the last week.
Three separate groups of travellers have recently set up camps in three locations across Swindon - one at the Polo Ground off Marlborough Road, another near the Dog Space in Wroughton and a third at Wootton Bassett Road.
One group of travellers is currently located at Swindon’s Polo Ground off Marlborough Road.
Wiltshire Police told the Adver that they had received a report on Monday, August 21 that “a traveller incursion had gained entry to the Polo Ground off Marlborough Road".
“Officers attended and spoke with the individuals who intend to leave the site by Saturday. No damage had been caused to the gate to gain entry.”
This comes after a group of travellers appeared at the same location at the beginning of July.
It is unclear whether it is the same group that has returned or a different one.
Another group are currently set up near Wroughton. They have pitched up in a field near the Dog Space in Wroughton, which is located along Priors Hill between the airfield and the village.
A source has also told the Adver that travellers that arrived at Wootton Bassett Road on Monday last week, August 14 are still at the location.
