Two drug dealers have been put behind bars after running a Class A drugs line between Swindon and Bournemouth.

21-year-old Omar Tablieh, of Tregonwell Road in Bournemouth, and 22-year-old David Mbugua, of King Edward Street in Slough, admitted supplying Swindon with heroin and cocaine.

The pair were arrested on May 31 when police located them in a Bournemouth hotel in possession of crack cocaine, heroin, cash, and burner phones.

They were subsequently charged and remanded in custody before pleading guilty to the offences in July.

Both men were sentenced to a jail term of three years and nine months at Swindon Crown Court on Monday, August 21.

Investigating officer PC Dan Chaventre said: “I’m pleased both men have been given custodial sentences and a county line feeding Swindon with illegal Class A drugs has been cut off.

“The supply of illegal drugs like cocaine and heroin into communities is a scourge on society and has considerable knock-on impacts.

“It often involves the exploitation of children and vulnerable people, and feeds into gang culture, violent crime and associated antisocial behaviour.

“Wiltshire Police will not tolerate county lines and we will ensure that the drug dealers bringing misery to our county are brought to justice.”

The pair have also been ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £228 each.
