A motorcyclist has been hospitalised with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash near Swindon.
The incident occurred on the B4005 Wharf Road, near Wharf Farm in Wroughton, at around 9pm on Wednesday, August 23, when a car and a motorbike collided.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash and the motorbike rider, a man in his 50s, suffered serious but not life-changing injuries.
A witness reported seeing an air ambulance overhead and police closed the road for several hours while the incident was dealt with.
Police did not report any other injuries and no arrests have been made in connection with the crash.
A spokesperson for the force said: “At around 9pm on Wednesday, August 23, we responded to a road traffic collision between a motorbike and a car in Wharf Road, Wroughton.
“The rider, a man in his 50s, suffered serious but not life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
“No arrests were made.”
