A 53-YEAR-OLD woman from Lechlade must pay nearly £2,000 for breaking the terms of her disqualification under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
Lindsey Morgan, of Gassons Way, Lechlade, was previously convicted and sentenced in 2014 for an offence under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 but was found to have breached the disqualification between November 1, 2019, and October 5, 2022.
The breach concerned multiple horses, including a bay gelding thoroughbred named Dotty's Dilemma, a bay thoroughbred named Gurkha, and a bay gelding thoroughbred named Windy.
A guilty verdict was pronounced in Morgan's absence at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, August 29.
Morgan was fined £784, must pay a victim surcharge of £314 plus £750 - a total of £1,848.
