A Swindon tennis club recently enjoyed its 40th anniversary.
Chiseldon Tennis Club was formed on August 23 1983 and after four decades of running it held an event with present and past members coming together.
Many of the members brought along their tennis rackets and were able to take advantage of the sunny evening to play some tennis in between enjoying some Pimms and Prosecco.
The tennis club committee under the leadership of chair Julie Porte, provided refreshments one of its members, Sara Brazell, made a cake.
A spokesperson said: "We were very fortunate that the founder member of the club Libby Brittain was able to join us for this special occasion.
"Our 3 floodlit courts looked great in their Wimbledon Colours of purple and green.
"It is amazing that the club is still going and has achieved so much over these past forty years.
" We are not complacent as we know we have to work hard to keep our membership going and like most clubs, we are always happy to welcome new members from the village and the surrounding areas."
