Police have upped their night patrols in Wanborough following a recent rise in the number of burglaries.
The foot patrols have mainly focused on burglaries of outbuildings and sheds in the area with high value tools being targeted.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “PCs Archer and Thapa have been out and about on foot patrol around Wanborough in recent days due to concerns of recent burglaries in the area, primarily outbuildings and sheds.
“It is recommended that high value tools are secured with a chain and bikes secured to the ground, if stored in outbuildings.
“We would like to remind everyone that if they witness suspicious activity to call 101. If a crime is in progress, call 999.”
